Topmost original painting of three. This one depicts a story of two grand daughters, while visiting & cleaning grandpa's place, they discover a secret door that leads to "The Secret Passage". Stay tuned for the next painting for the continuation of the story. (The tension mounts).

About Michael Frank

Michael Frank

Michael Frank has been painting for over 35 years. He has developed his skills from attending many artist workshops and some college, but mainly from studying the works of the "Hudson River School" artists of the mid to late 1800's. Some of their landscape locations were very exotic, but it really didn't matter. Because of their attention to detail, coloring and strong direction of light, you would think that you were looking at a magical place, while in a magical moment. That's what I strive to acheive. Michael considers himself a representational luminous painter of landscapes & seascapes. He usually starts with the grisaille method of painting with a monotone painting over a white or bright yellow canvas. He then starts adding layers...
